Martha von Schilgen plays the fiddle and cello with Lark in the Morning. She started playing piano in second grade and violin in third grade, adding guitar, then recorder, banjo, mandolin, octave violin and cello. After a brief brush with learning to play a concertina, she decided it was too painful for all involved. After a start in school and community orchestras, she has played for weddings, parties, fundraisers, churches, schools, libraries, dances, museum openings, festivals, funerals and even just for fun.
